Live a little

This weekend we decided to hop out for a spontaneous walk along with our 11 month old. Its a wide known fact that spontaneity and babies don't mix... You got to plan, plan, plan! (We forgot her sippy cup... not good!) With babies, you plan everything. Everything means everything. And that turns into a habit.Years of planning: which day care, which school, how to go for this vacation, what to see, what will the kids wear, plan for their day, get up at 6:30 AM...and then one day your kid turns around and say "live a little"... to which you ought to say.........................

Yes, thank the kid for reminding you that you don't need to plan anymore. You can be spontaneous now. Make good use of the time - catch a movie, go out with friends, fly a kite. True, live a little.

Its the best gift we give to our kids.

We always have a lot to say but we really don't.. so even though I don't wear a physical burqa.. its about the burqa we all wear on the inside.
